1 cup fresh coconut water
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp chlorella
1/2 tsp spirulina
Chlorophyll is a molecule that gives plants and algae their green colour, it also traps the sunlight for photosynthesis. It is a superfood that is easily found in leafy greens, but there is also a more concentrated form available called liquid chlorophyll. The supergreen is filled with natural minerals, vitamins, proteins, trace elements and anti-oxidants, which makes it an amazing addition to my superfood collection.
Chlorophyll has many benefits, one of them is that it helps the body to detox. It helps to get rid of the toxins that are already in the body while it also stops the growth and development of more bad bacteria. Chlorophyll is able to balance the body’s acid-alkali level, which makes this superfood a perfect addition to alkalazing smoothies. It contains a large amount of calcium which is beneficial to people with arthritis and bone diseases. The green superfood gives the immune system a boost by accelerating tissue cell activity and helping the body heal faster. It also increases the oxygen in the blood supply and helps to regulate blood pressure. By drinking chlorophyll daily some have also seen a significant improvement in their skin.
Fruits and vegetables that are high in chlorophyll are spinach, kale, chard, collards, parsley, dill, cilantro, blue-green algae, sprouts, wheatgrass, peas, asparagus, broccoli, grapes, celery and seaweed.

It is very easy to add chlorophyll to a glass of water, smoothies or juices. It can also be used as natural food dye. I like to drink my chlorophyll combined with other superfoods like chlorella, spirulina and coconut water.

Mix all of the ingredients and add ice cubes. I like to use frozen coconut water as ice cubes too.
